That's "shining at night" for you and me

















Have you ever heard of "noctilucent clouds"? Apparently they're quite a mystery. First observed in the 19th century, in the aftermath of the eruption of Krakatoa, they are much higher than everyday clouds, on the very edge of space, in fact.
